How to save on costs by using fully automated, processible payments
By definition, all EU Standard Transfers are considered STP-compliant, if they are formatted and filled in correctly.
All other incoming payments must follow the rules set forth by S.W.I.F.T. S.C.R.L., La Hulpe, Belgium, for customer payments if they are to be recognised by us as STP-compliant. Please take note of the following additional specifications:
1. The banking fields (52, 54, 55 and 56) must contain the SWIFT-BIC (S.W.I.F.T. format “A”).
2. The beneficiary’s bank (field 57) must contain the SWIFT-BIC (S.W.I.F.T. format “A”).
3. S.W.I.F.T. – field 72 – may also contain codes that have been mutually agreed upon.
Special fees apply for non-STP-compliant payments. The non-STP fees are charged to the bank from which we receive the payment order.
Should you have any questions regarding STP, particularly regarding correct data input or the non-STP fee, please do not hesitate to contact our Foreign Department at telephone No. +49 40 32 81 16 48.
