Cash management in Denmark
In Denmark, Danske Bank operates as a full-service bank and is the country's largest player, with 431 branches throughout the country.

Payment and clearing systems
Danske Bank has access to the following systems:
  • RTGS system: KRONOS (DKK and EUR)
  • Bilateral clearing system: UDUS
  • Multilateral clearing: ACH system PBS (Danish Payment Business System Ltd.)
At present there is no national clearing format. PBS formats are generally accepted by all banks, and EDIFACT formats are generally interpreted in the same way by the banks that have adopted EDIFACT.

You can choose from a variety of payment types according to your needs:
  • Credit transfer: the principal means of payment
  • Direct debit: increasingly used
  • Cheques: rapidly decreasing in use
  • e-invoicing: electronic bill presentment
Business systems
Business Online is Danske Bank’s Web-based system. It provides easy access to real-time account information, ensuring that you always have a complete and accurate picture of your company’s cash position.

With both Business Online and our Windows-based system, Business PC, you can quickly set up and authorise single or multiple payments, and you can make local payments in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, the UK or Germany.
