Cash management in Norway
Danske Bank acquired Fokus Bank of Norway in 1999 and has since expanded its operations significantly. There are 69 branches throughout Norway offering a full range of corporate banking products to small, medium-sized and large businesses.
Payment and clearing systems
Fokus Bank has access to the following systems:
- NBO (Norges Bank’s Settlement System): RTGS
- NICS (Norwegian Interbank Clearing System)
NBO and NICS are operated by BBS (Bankernes Betalingscentral) on behalf of the Norwegian central bank.
Clearing formats
- NIBE (interbank standard) based on EDIFACT messages such as Finpay (Financial Payment)
- EDIFACT message standards are being used increasingly between banks and large enterprises
- Telepay, a public sector format
You can choose from a variety of payment types according to your needs:
- Electronic transfers trough the BBS clearing system
- Direct debits solutions for both personal and business customers
- e-invoice/ EBPP (B2C)
Business systems
Business Online is Danske Bank’s Web-based system. It provides easy access to real-time account information, ensuring that you always have a complete and accurate picture of your company’s cash position.
With both Business Online and our Windows-based system, Business PC, you can quickly set up and authorise single or multiple payments, and you can make local payments in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, the UK or Germany.
