Cash management in Sweden
Danske Bank acquired Östgöta Enskilda Bank of Sweden in 1997 and has since expanded its operations significantly. There are 62 branches throughout Sweden offering a full range of corporate banking products to small, medium-sized and large businesses.

Payment and clearing systems
Danske Bank in Sweden has access to the following systems:
  • RIX system (RTGS system)
  • Bankgirot (operated by BGC)
  • Plusgirot (owned by Nordea)

Bankgirot
The bank is a co-owner of the most widely used clearing system in Sweden, Bankgirot. All banks in Sweden participate in the Bankgirot system, so you can use it to make payments to any bank account in the country. Your company’s account number is linked to a bank giro number, which is the number used for sending and receiving payments. Various services can be linked to the bank giro number to streamline incoming and outgoing payments.

You can choose from a variety of payment types according to your needs:
  • Giro Transfer Bankgiro
  • Salary payments
  • Ordinary transfer
  • Giro Transfer Postgiro
  • Direct debit solutions for both personal and business customers
  • Electronic bill presentment
You can have additional services linked to bank giro payments:
  • Payment service OCR
  • Direct debit
  • Postgirot sweeping
  • Card acquisition

Business systems
Business Online is Danske Bank’s Web-based system. It provides easy access to real-time account information, ensuring that you always have a complete and accurate picture of your company’s cash position.

With both Business Online and our Windows-based system, Business PC, you can quickly set up and authorise single or multiple payments, and you can make local payments in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, the UK or Germany.
