The goods sometimes arrive before the documents, especially when the goods are sent by air or lorry.
If the goods are consigned to Danske Bank, the importer can assume possession of the goods if Danske Bank releases them.
When obtaining the release of the goods, the importer commits himself to paying for or accepting the documents immediately upon presentation.
