International rules for collections

Collections are subject to a set of international rules entitled Uniform Rules for Collections (URC), ICC Publication No. 522.

The rules are published by The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris and are used by most banks worldwide. They consist of a number of articles concerning the responsibilities and obligations of the parties under collections, among other things.
